The recent history of the school: the modern stage

In 1994, School No. 241 reopened its doors to its students. In it  more than 1200 people studied. Pupils studied in two shifts. The second shift was from 13-00 to 18-00 hours.

From 1996 to 2002, the director of the school was Yuri Borisovich Kuptsinelli.

From 2002 to 2015, the position of the school director was held by Irina Semyonovna Yamshchikova. Her whole life was connected with our school. I can't help but say a few words on my own behalf. It is thanks to her love of life, the open warm attitude of Irina Semyonovna to students  and their parents, the threshold  schools as a student  On September 1, 2015, I also crossed the fifth grade, now a student of the 10th grade, taking part in this project activity. In the summer of the same year, having not yet fully decided on the choice of school, we entered the office  Irina Semyonovna and talked to her. He was such a friendly, open person, striking in his simplicity and breadth of soul, that from the very first minutes I felt myself in her office very simply, at ease and without any hesitation, we communicated freely and easily. After a conversation with Irina Semyonovna, we have  with my mother, any desire to attend any other schools has disappeared,  and we immediately chose 241. Irina Semyonovna worked as a director for 13 years.  Unfortunately, in 2015 she passed away, leaving an indelible mark on the lives of her pupils.

Currently  the director of school number 241 is  Olga Makeeva. The school team of teachers together with the director of the school is wonderful and we, on behalf of all students of our  schools thank you  for your hard work, for your knowledge, for your desire to teach new and unknown things.  We respect you, our mentors, for your  professionalism.

The students of our school are interested in  the history of the school in which they study. These are not just words. We conducted a survey in which about 80 students participated. The guys had to answer questions, the meaning of which is to study and master new information regarding the history of the school, they would like to receive this information  or they don't care. About 90 percent of respondents answered our questions  positively,  and would definitely like to know more  about your school. This suggests that we, the young generation of schoolchildren, are not indifferent to the history of the school, within the walls of which we study.

School number 241 has its own hymn, which was written by Irina Yamshchikova-Kuzmina. She is a teacher by education. But she devoted her whole life to journalism, worked in the editorial offices of newspapers, on the radio, and prepared programs for television. Member of the Union of Journalists. Lives and works in St. Petersburg, and was born and raised in the Nizhny Novgorod region, devoted many works to her native places. Poems published in her collections: "Heritage", "Writer Kochin",  "The eternal call of memory" ... Anyone who has a desire can get acquainted with them.

Below is the text of our school anthem:

Two hundred forty-first
Among the avenues of Peter dear
You stand majestic and proud
School two hundred and forty-one,
And at eighty you are young
After all, at school, childhood and youth meet,
You give the young people a start in life.
Much begins here for the first time
What to continue to your graduates.
Do you remember, the school, as in the fire of the blockade,
You became a hospital, as in a battle?
Saving the lives of the heroes of Leningrad,
You brought your own line to Victory.
You raised heroes like Kichkailo *
Scientists, various craftsmen.
And you loved everyone, of course,
And you wait for everyone at your walls.
The bell rings, calls for desks again,
And again - on the road, in the coming years.
School two hundred and forty-one,
You are in our heart, always in our memory.
Your every day is filled with stormy life,
Your every moment is a movement forward
You are the bright page of Petersburg,
What is the city and its people famous for.
Among the avenues of Peter dear
You stand dignified and proud.
School two hundred and forty-one,
We will never forget you.

(* Kichkailo - Hero of Russia)

School  No. 241 is also proud of its graduates from the Soviet period. Many of them are famous personalities, heroes, Olympic champions, composers, scientists. The list is endless!
As mentioned in the anthem, the future hero of Russia Gennady Kichkailo studied within the walls of the school. He was born on April 25, 1972 in Leningrad. He studied at school number 241 and successfully graduated from it. The fact that a graduate of Kichkailo would become an officer of the Internal Troops did not raise any doubts among his classmates. He did not hide the fact that he wanted to link his fate with the troops where his grandfather served, after whom Gennady was named. So his path lay through the arch, to Sadovaya Street, and then to the St. Petersburg Higher Military Command School of the Internal Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia. In 1996 he graduated from the St. Petersburg Higher Military Command School of the Internal Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia. He served as a platoon commander, deputy company commander for work with personnel. He took part in battles on the territory of Dagestan and Chechnya. On March 12, 2000, Gennady Kichkailo commanded a company. There was a fierce battle for the village of Komsomolskoye. The militants covered the unit with heavy fire. Starley, correctly assessing the emerging situation, in difficult conditions not only held out in defense, but also counterattacked the enemy with two platoons. As a result of the company's skillful actions, fifteen militants were destroyed. The next day was calmer for Gennady Kichkailo and his company. But a day later, the position of the company was attacked by the enemy, which significantly outnumbered the division of the Internal Troops. To protect the personnel from death, the commander ordered to retreat between the houses, while he himself with several soldiers remained to cover the company. The seriously wounded senior lieutenant Kichkailo did not come out to the position of the company that had taken the defense. When the militants tried to capture the barely alive officer, he blew himself up with them with a grenade. Before his last business trip, he once told his wife that if something happened to him, he would blow himself up with a grenade. And so it happened. Elena has a videotape recording that was made during his graduation from school. He was the only one from the entire course who took the diploma in his right hand and therefore did not salute. Then his comrades asked: “Gena, why didn’t give the honor? And he replied:“ I will give it up in Chechnya. ”He was buried in the city (Babigonsky) cemetery of Peterhof. high rank of the Hero of the Russian Federation.
